We invite you and your family to join us for Sunday School at State Street Church.
Our Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. Children and their families meet in the
Sanctuary for worship. After the children’s message, children leave the Sanctuary and
go to classes. Classes conclude around 11: 00 a.m.
The Christian Education program at State Street Church is designed to provide
opportunities, through worship, learning, and fellowship for everyone to grow in
their faith and to learn how to live as Christians.
At State Street Church, we teach our children the stories of the Bible in order for them
to have tools to grow toward a more mature Christian faith. We believe it is through
these stories that we learn of humanity’s struggle to know God and how God wants
us to live. How do we do this? By using the Workshop Rotation Model. We have
transformed some of our classrooms into exciting multi-sensory workshops that allow
children to experience the Bible story with all their senses. We teach the same bible
story for 3 to 5 weeks. We use art, drama, Bible skills and games, cooking as well as
audiovisual presentations to reinforce the Bible stories, themes and concepts.
The nursery at State Street Church provides a high-quality, clean, and safe
environment for your infant or toddler to stay while you are at a worship service or
program. Currently, our qualified childcare giver offers a professionally staffed
nursery care during the 10 AM worship service. She is a mother of her own 2 children,
and is certified in infant/child CPR. We provide a paging system for added security.
The youth groups offer opportunities to our 5th through 12th graders for fellowship,
service projects and stewardship. Please see schedule below.
